Project snapshot
The Prospect Lefferts Gardens Heritage Council (PLGHC) is committed to preserving the historic buildings and cultural heritage of the Prospect Lefferts Gardens community. As part of their ongoing efforts, PLGHC is focusing on beautifying Midwood Street in preparation for its landmark application submission. This project aims to enhance the area’s aesthetic appeal by installing 30 whiskey barrel planters and 30 perennial miniature rose plants, which will not only increase property values but also attract visitors, driving economic growth for local businesses. Beyond the visual improvements, the beautification initiative fosters community pride and strengthens local engagement. It also highlights the historical and cultural significance of Midwood Street, helping to preserve its unique architecture and furthering its eligibility for landmark status.
