Project snapshot

QBA Cares Inc. is organizing its 5th annual summer basketball tournament in Coop City, a highly anticipated community event that fosters unity and engagement in the North Bronx. This one-day tournament brings together residents of all ages, providing a safe and exciting space for friendly competition and social interaction. The event not only promotes physical activity and teamwork but also strengthens community ties by involving local youth as volunteers and hiring small businesses as vendors. Over the years, QBA Cares Inc. has self-funded this initiative, recognizing its positive impact on the neighborhood. The tournament’s success has also contributed to the longevity of their annual Bronx Toy Drive, which will celebrate its 12th year in 2025. With additional funding, QBA Cares Inc. aims to enhance the tournament’s reach, ensuring it remains a longstanding tradition that unites residents, supports local businesses, and fosters a strong sense of community pride.
