Stapleton, Staten Island

Project snapshot

TappenTeers will host a series of three park cleanup and horticulture events at Tappen Park in downtown Stapleton, engaging ten to fifteen volunteers per event to perform litter removal, weeding, and planting. Events will provide environmental-justice and stewardship education for youth and residents, improving park aesthetics and maintenance to uplift local businesses and the downtown economy. The project increases community engagement, environmental awareness, and supports underserved populations through hands-on stewardship and beautification.
