Project snapshot

Lunch on the Rock (RCC) operates a year-round food-access program in Rockaway and Broad Channel, preparing and distributing three culturally relevant meals daily, offering dine-in and takeout for up to 100 people, and providing weekly nutrition and food equity workshops, bi-monthly cooking demonstrations, SNAP enrollment assistance, a summer youth meal program, and monthly mobile markets and wellness pop-ups in partnership with local farms and pantries. The initiative reduces food insecurity, improves nutritional health, supports child food continuity, and expands equitable access to fresh food and resources.
