Project snapshot

SANO Snacks hosts a traveling series of twelve monthly pop-ups paired with hands-on nutrition workshops in Queens Village, Hollis, and Bellerose. Each pop-up sets a branded booth outside schools, senior centers, or community gardens, distributes 300 free low-sugar granola and flavored nut snack packs produced in compostable pouches at its Queens facility, and delivers a 45-minute registered-dietitian-led workshop on label reading, portion control, and affordable meals. Five paid youth Snack Ambassadors support operations and outreach. The project delivers no-cost nutrition education, youth employment, and visibility for locally made MWBE products.
