Senator Robert A Taft Resident Association

East Harlem, Manhattan

Project snapshot

Senator Robert A. Taft Resident Association is tackling challenges in civic engagement and community involvement in our neighborhood. Many residents, particularly younger individuals and those from underrepresented groups, lack awareness of their rights and ways to effect change. “EmpowerED: Civic Leaders of Tomorrow” is our initiative designed to equip everyone with the tools and confidence they need to make a difference. Our workshops, projects, and events are engines for connection and community collaboration. To sustain momentum, we’re engaging local organizations, training volunteer leaders, and establishing an alumni network. EmpowerED is already making a positive impact, building a more engaged and empowered community.
