Project snapshot

Smallest Call of the Wild is dedicated to transforming its community garden into a vibrant, welcoming space through hands-on community engagement. This project aims to enhance the garden’s aesthetics by planting perennials and flowers, making it a thriving ecosystem for both people and wildlife. Additionally, the initiative will restore garden pathways for accessibility and revitalize wooden seating with fresh paint, including a unique handprint mural that fosters community pride. Through six planned events, volunteers of all ages will contribute to garden clean-ups, planting, painting, and pathway repairs. These activities not only beautify the space but also strengthen community bonds by encouraging long-term investment in the garden. By involving children in interactive learning experiences—such as relocating garden creatures and planting perennials—the project nurtures environmental stewardship from a young age. With funding, Smallest Call of the Wild can ensure the garden remains a place of shared ownership, creativity, and natural beauty for years to come.
