Project snapshot

The Bridge Community Foundation, Inc.’s “The Uptown Lovedown” is designed for Bronxites and uptown mothers. This will be a space where our community can come together and love one another. We have invited community organizations to join us, and our event will feature music, a drum circle, massage chairs with masseuses, a lactation station with a feeding specialist, an acupuncturist, and a chiropractor providing free care. We anticipate welcoming 150-200 pregnant or new mothers/parents at Mottley Kitchen. This event offers much-needed love and perinatal support. By encouraging opportunities for connection and providing resources, we will impact New York families, especially in a borough that struggles with maternal health and infant mortality.
