Project snapshot

The Bronx Land Trust is working to revitalize the existing garden in an effort to make it handicap-friendly for seniors and veterans. The upgrades include benches and seating areas equipped with swings and food prep areas, as well as solar panels to provide charging stations for the community. This is important because the garden provides an open space with fresh air and a safe environment where people can relax. Additionally, this project would help reduce isolation in elderly populations who are unable to access outdoor spaces without assistance.
