The Brooklyn International High School

Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn

Project snapshot

Brooklyn International High School, a Title 1 institution nestled in downtown Brooklyn, is dedicated to serving newly arrived immigrants to the United States. Our students, hailing from diverse backgrounds, are both learning English and adapting to a new way of life, often overcoming significant adversities from their homelands and journeys here. Despite facing challenges like food, clothing, and housing insecurity, they exhibit remarkable intelligence, resilience, creativity, and joy. Our initiative, the BIHS Boutique & Pantry, has been instrumental in easing some of their burdens, providing essential resources like food and clothing.
