Project snapshot

The Tree of Life Organic Garden is converting an underused onsite shipping container into an expanded, fully functional chicken coop to more than double flock capacity, supporting egg production and hands-on education for local youth and families. Retrofit work includes cutting ventilation panels, installing translucent roof sections or windows, creating a single secure entry, adding an automatic door, and renting welding equipment; a dedicated tool shed will relocate stored tools. Surplus funds will establish fruit trees, berry shrubs, and pollinator perennials to increase food production and ecosystem resilience.
