Project snapshot

Youth-Led Support engages teenagers in addressing educational challenges faced by newly immigrated families and those experiencing homelessness. The project also facilitates connections and friendships between teenagers in East Africa and less fortunate teens through donations, bracelet exchanges, and advice-sharing. By offering free tutoring to underrepresented minority K-5 students for the ELA and Math New York state exams, the project not only prepares them academically but also provides American teenagers with a perspective that fosters gratitude for their privileges while learning from individuals in underdeveloped countries.
