La Sala de Pepe y Foto Espacio is utilizing the 11 display cases which wrap around the PSA4 building (operated by the NYPD) on 8th Street and Avenue C to promote the newly formed Avenue C Cultural Corridor. Local volunteers are restoring the streetscape, while showcasing local artworks from LatinX and historic artist and immigrant residents of the East Village through a community curated process. The display cases are being transformed from an unused eyesore into a vibrant and engaging space that celebrates the culture of the East Village.
