P.L.A.N.T (PRESERVING LINCOLN’S ABUNDANT NATURAL TREASURES)

At a time when hopelessness seems pervasive across generations, P.L.A.N.T. provides a platform for discussing, demonstrating, and displaying the importance of creating and maintaining a legacy. We celebrate and memorialize the contributions of our community’s matriarchs, who have left an indelible mark through their talents and sacrifices. By offering writing, horticulture, fashion design, music, and art classes taught by both new and seasoned community members, we foster intergenerational collaboration and understanding. This initiative highlights the work of current torchbearers and inspires younger generations to appreciate and sustain our established green spaces. Through showcases and exhibits of participants’ work, P.L.A.N.T. exemplifies how engaging with our heritage can uplift and enrich the entire community.
