Global Academy for Community-Based Education, Inc.’s Community Advocacy Project Expo is a response to the need for community-based education (CBE). Communities face pressing issues that demand proactive solutions, and GACBE recognizes the role students can play in addressing these challenges. By empowering students to identify and advocate for solutions, the project cultivates a generation of socially aware individuals ready to tackle community issues. Furthermore, students are graduating from high school lacking the 21st century skills needed for contemporary careers and colleges. However, in addition to developing academic skills, the Community Advocacy Project Expo helps students develop skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. Workshops, seminars, and informational sessions are held to encourage students to participate in the project.
