Project snapshot

Our neighborhood has a mapped but unbuilt street with a missing sidewalk, forcing pedestrians to walk in the street between parked cars. To create a safe walkway, I aim to clean this area, removing dirt, garbage, and overgrown plants. We’ll need shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows for the work. Our goals are to ensure pedestrian safety, enhance the quality of life, and foster community involvement in neighborhood improvement. Clearing the sidewalk will provide pedestrians with a clean, safe path and increase community engagement and pride. To recruit volunteers, we will distribute flyers, post on social media, announce the project at our monthly meeting, and involve local schools. This project will significantly improve walkability and safety for everyone.
