Project snapshot

The 220th-221st Street Block Association is fundraising and raising awareness to install a police lighting unit at the corner of 220th Street and White Plains Road. This project aims to create a safer environment for the community, particularly addressing issues related to mental illness, substance use, and homelessness that have been prevalent in that area. By obtaining a police mobile lighting unit, the project seeks to enhance security, deter drug usage and selling, and demonstrate that the community is watched over and cared for.
