Project snapshot

Amaranth is a solo pediatric practice in Chinatown, Manhattan that provides essential healthcare services to uninsured, underinsured, and Medicaid recipients. Dr. Cheryl Wu has employed innovative technology and social media strategies to enhance patient care and engagement during the pandemic. The grant would help fund marketing campaigns for new services, video equipment/software for online content creation, public speaking training for Dr. Wu, and renting Brooklyn spaces for video recording/in-person meetings. Amaranth aims to give back to the local community and extend support to often overlooked individuals like minorities, immigrants, non-English speaking families, and the impoverished. They disseminate resources such as summer programs for disenfranchised youths. Additionally, Dr. Wu is active in educational advocacy, acting as a bridge that connects children and families to resources they are entitled to.
