Project snapshot
Annabel Counseling Services is launching a community mental health initiative serving immigrant and Central Asian populations in South Brooklyn. It expands free, culturally adapted programming beyond the private practice by offering regular in-person group therapy for youth and parents at schools and cultural centers, periodic family wellness workshops on trauma, intergenerational stress, and cross-cultural communication, and translated mental health resource packets in Russian, Uzbek, and Kyrgyz. The project reduces stigma, increases awareness, and builds resilience for an underserved community.
