Project snapshot
BFGP will construct a food-producing garden on church-owned property leased to Rising Ground, providing hands-on planning and cultivation opportunities for transitional housing residents aged A–24. Residents and volunteers will co-design plots through house meetings; BFGP staff will lead site preparation, installation, ongoing gardening activities, and wellness programming. Monthly community engagement days will invite neighborhood and congregant participation. Harvested produce will be distributed to residents and volunteers, enhancing food security, job-readiness skills, mental well-being, and social support within the community.
