Project snapshot

Bronx Sunshine Garden is combating food insecurity and promoting a healthier lifestyle through education and access to nutritious food. It’s clear that poor nutrition significantly heightens the risk of diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. This is why our garden not only provides fresh produce but also serves as an educational hub where people learn about the benefits of healthy eating and how to cultivate their own food. We’re tackling health inequities head-on by offering food pantry services, hosting healthy cooking workshops, and engaging in various cultural activities that bring our community together. Through partnerships with like-minded organizations and robust community outreach via social media, flyers, and door-to-door engagement, we’re dedicated to sustaining this initiative long-term.
