Project snapshot
Community Tree Stewards: The project installs metal tree guards around 15 unprotected tree pits, plants native species across 31 tree beds, and installs signage promoting responsible pet waste management. Activities include community-led construction, pit cleaning, planting, and maintenance to reduce litter and dog waste, protect root zones, increase urban biodiversity, and improve streetscape aesthetics. By creating physical barriers and native plantings, the project enhances tree health and fosters resident stewardship for sustained neighborhood environmental quality.
