Project snapshot

Cure Academy delivers a comprehensive cancer education pipeline for underserved high school students, combining a structured lecture series—covering cancer cell biology, tumor microenvironment, tumor–immune interactions, patient psychosocial experience, and social/environmental determinants—with instructor career mentoring. A student-designed website centralizes applications and curated academic and career resources. The program pilots partnerships with Hypothekids and NY Bioforce to transition learners into hands-on lab training (pipetting, dilutions, sterile technique), professional development, and paid internships at leading institutions, building a sustainable, diverse pathway into oncology, research, and healthcare.
