The Dominican Writers Association will support creativity and storytelling through The Art Camp for Adults: Art Fundamentals, a collaboration with Just Art Camp. This interdisciplinary program merges visual arts with creative writing, offering adult participants a unique opportunity to explore artistic expression while deepening their connection to storytelling. The program follows a three-phase process: Education, where participants learn about art history, color theory, and composition while reflecting on their personal artistic journeys; Exploration, which includes guided visits to galleries, museums, and public art spaces to inspire deeper artistic appreciation; and Engagement, where participants create a final art project accompanied by a creative writing piece or artist statement. The program culminates in a public showcase and a printed anthology. This project ensures that Dominican and Latinx voices continue to shape cultural and creative spaces in meaningful ways.
