Project snapshot

The Future of Mosholu Parkland is expanding its environmental and food justice efforts through Norwood Farm to Table, a summer program that equips Bronx youth with essential skills in urban farming, sustainability, and community service. Through the Bronx Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), teens will engage in every step of food production—from growing and harvesting fresh produce to distributing it at Project Bravo pantry, directly benefiting local families in need. This initiative not only teaches agricultural and environmental practices but also instills teamwork, leadership, and a strong sense of civic responsibility. By participating in food distribution and pantry operations, teens gain real-world experience in logistics and customer service while deepening their understanding of food justice and sustainability. Norwood Farm to Table empowers the next generation of environmental stewards.
