Project snapshot

The Harlem Tourism Board Inc. is launching a vital initiative to bridge the digital divide for older adults in New York City. As technology becomes increasingly essential for everyday life, many seniors face challenges in accessing digital tools, leaving them isolated and disconnected from critical resources. This project aims to change that by providing hands-on technology workshops designed to empower older adults with essential digital skills. Through a series of four interactive sessions at senior centers and community hubs, participants will learn smartphone basics, online safety, video calling, telehealth access, and digital banking. Tech-savvy volunteers will offer personalized support, and easy-to-follow guides will help reinforce learning beyond the workshops.
