Project snapshot

LadyBlack Boutique is offering a comprehensive workshop series focused on teaching the art of African hair braiding and proper hair care. The workshops will provide hands-on training for youth, teens, and adults, teaching basic braiding techniques, styling, and professional hair care tips. Participants will also receive starter kits to help them build their skills. This project addresses the lack of affordable hair care education in underserved communities, offering valuable skills that can lead to entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency. By creating a safe, inclusive space for learning, LadyBlack Boutique is empowering individuals to embrace their natural hair and explore new opportunities. The workshops will also strengthen community bonds through mentorship and collaboration, helping participants form lasting relationships while celebrating and preserving African hair braiding traditions.
