Project snapshot
New York City MMA Inc. is committed to providing accessible martial arts training and life-saving skills to the Staten Island community. Through its scholarship initiative, the organization will offer two school-aged students the opportunity to train in Karate, Jiujitsu, Kickboxing, and Taekwondo free of charge for one year, fostering discipline, confidence, and personal growth. These scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, ensuring that students who may not otherwise have access to martial arts training can participate in a safe and supportive environment. In addition, New York City MMA Inc. will launch a free CPR training program, offering monthly classes led by certified instructors to equip local residents with essential life-saving skills. By combining martial arts education with emergency preparedness, this initiative aims to empower the community, promote physical and mental well-being, and create a safer, more resilient Staten Island.
