Project snapshot

In New York City, where cycling is booming as a mode of transportation, there’s a pressing need for skilled bicycle mechanics. Our bike school addresses this demand by offering a 200-hour Bicycle Mechanic Certification program, training apprentices in both traditional and electric bikes. We’ve garnered support from various organizations and the community through outreach efforts and crowdfunding. Partnering with unions and advocacy groups ensures we reach those most in need of training. Funding will equip us to launch the program sustainably, with tools and supplies serving multiple cohorts. As we build a diverse labor force, our efforts contribute to safer streets and equitable job opportunities, fostering a vibrant cycling community in NYC.
